Girl Scout Camp Programs ManagerIn working with the Camp Programs and Properties department of Girl Scouts of Western Washington, I partner with other non profit agencies and schools to provide camp properties for educational opportunities for youth. GSWW camp properties are rich resources for education, exhibiting extreme diversity with easy access to marine, riparian, and forest habitats here in Western Washington. Citizen science has been a long term passion, and the facilities provide a training ground for youth and adults in effective monitoring techniques, and local biodiversity. Sea Kayaking BiologistI am a 10 year resident of Puget Sound, currently living on Guemes Island. I coordinate the Spartina Survey Program for People For Puget Sound. We recruit and train volunteer sea kayakers to survey the shorelines of Puget Sound for invasive Spartina grass. I am looking for ways to build a network of citizen science volunteer kayakers and connect them with researchers that are doing good work for the Sound.

I am the program director for Ocean Inquiry Project, a Puget Sound based marine science education non-profit organization. I also am an education specialist with NANOOS, the Northwest Association of Networked Ocean Observing Systems, the PNW's regional association for the national Integrated Ocean Observing System.
