Amanda Bruner earned her Master of Science from the University of Washington's School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences in 2010. Her thesis work described the effects of a common aquatic contaminant on the development and reproduction in the threespine stickleback fish. Amanda is a founding member of the University of Washington's student chapter of the Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science and was a NSF GK-12 teaching fellow in the Ocean And Coastal Integrated Science GK-12 Program from 2008-2010.
